The group

Founded by Stéfano Uhoda, Uhoda Group began its journey in 1963 with the establishment of the first service station featuring a shop and an automatic car wash in Liège, Belgium. Stéphan Uhoda, son of Stéfano, along with his brother Georges, took over the management of the company, bringing a new dynamic of growth and diversification. 

Today, Uhoda Group is structured around three key pillars: mobility, events, and real estate. These activities showcase not only strong expertise but also a continuous commitment to innovation and adaptation to market trends and environmental sustainability. 

In parallel, the group actively supports social and cultural initiatives, positioning itself as a key player in the local ecosystem, particularly in Liège. Whether through artistic projects, cultural partnerships, or social initiatives, Uhoda Group significantly contributes to the development and influence of the local community.

The group's current areas of activity are the result of a long-term evolution, rooted in projects dating back to the early 1980s. They reflect the entrepreneurial spirit of its principal shareholder, driven by curiosity, passion, and a constant drive for progress. Since its inception, Uhoda Group has built a strong financial foundation, demonstrating resilience and a long-term vision.

Timeline

  • Opening of the first service station with a shop and automatic car wash in Liège, Belgium, by Stéfano Uhoda.

  • With the arrival of the second generation, the company begins expanding and diversifying its activities in mobility.

  • Establishment of Uhoda International, dedicated to international trade.

  • Acquisition of the Village Sportif, linked to the Standard de Liège football club.

  • Acquisition of Cecoforma, a public initiative company specialising in exporting Belgian expertise in professional training to emerging markets.

  • Creation of the holding company Financière Saint-Paul. Stéphan Uhoda becomes the sole principal shareholder of the companies forming Uhoda Group.

  • Cecoforma secured its first major framework contract with the European Commission: the INOGATE project (Interstate Oil and Gas Transportation to Europe).

    This project coordinates the EU’s efforts to develop a secure gas and oil transport network from former Soviet countries to Europe. Expansion into event management and network development: organizing conferences, 

  • Acquisition of Luxembourg-based Europarking S.A.

  • Expansion of service and trade activities internationally, primarily in Africa.

  • Acquisition of a network of service stations from ExxonMobil in Liège, Limburg, and the Ardennes.

  • Acquisition of Dynamic Event in Liège, strengthening the group’s B2B event sector. Now known as Folks.

  • Securing the fuel distribution concession for the entire national airport in Zaventem.

  • Acquisition of Hesbymazout, a company specialising in heating oil sales for businesses and individuals.

  • Creation of the Uhoda L’Épicerie retail concept.

  • Development of the contemporary art collection and launch of the first public art projects.

  • Acquisition of Henrotte, a company specialising in gas transportation for businesses and individuals.

  • Launch of real estate development activities.

  • Acquisition of Instant News Service (INS), a company specialising in audiovisual services.

  • Acquisition of Gilops Group, active in wholesale fuel distribution and strategic fuel storage for the Belgian state.

  • Renewal of the Brussels Airport concession.

  • Development of an electric vehicle (EV) charging network in partnership with Sparki.
